SUNday, MAY 10
Welcome to Italy - Milan to Olbia

You should be arriving at Malpensa, Milan International Airport in the morning with plenty of time to relax have a breakfast or lunch before hopping on the airplane for a 55 minutes plane to Olbia.

I’ll welcoming you there and guiding you to the Sardinia flight.
We ’ll welcome and pick you up at Olbia airport and take you to the hotel to freshen up. People are friendly, hospitable, and happy to see cyclists like you visit and appreciate the Italian culture.

Sardinia is known for its wind sculpted coastlines, and its unbelievably clear blue waters. For bicycle lovers, many roads are coastline roads and most vegetation isn’t tall so the sea is almost always visible.

After that will meet with our expert guide Raffaele and check out the personalized bike set up brought to you by Hersh Bicycles , we may want to go for a short afternoon ride or just relax at the veranda.

MONDAY, MAY 11 PORTO CERVO, COSTA SMERALDA and Palau

From the outskirts of San Pantaleo we’ll bike around the ritzy roads of Porto Cervo and the Costa Smeralda . We are planning an unforgettable ride that will pass through the Golfo Aranci, Porto Cervo, Baja Sardinia, Costa Smeralda. A unique and beautiful coastal ride you wont forget.

This is one of the most gorgeous areas in the world. It was “discovered” by the billionaire Aga Khan in the early seventies and it has become one of the most exclusive vacation spots of the rich & famous.

The overall ride is 30/40 miles with gain of about 1,500 feet.

TUESDAY, MAY 12
Palau to Santa Teresa di Gallura

Nestled in the rugged, sun-drenched northeast of Sardinia, the coastal route from Palau to Santa Teresa Gallura is a quintessential Mediterranean bike adventure. This 25-kilometer (16 miles) stretch winds along the wild Gallura coastline, offering a perfect half-day ride for cyclists of moderate ability.

As you leave Palau behind (about 5 km in), the road begins its subtle climbs, offering panoramic views across the Strait of Bonifacio toward Corsica's shadowy cliffs—visible on clear days like a distant promise of adventure.

The final 5-7 km eases into Santa Teresa Gallura, Sardinia's northernmost town, perched on a bluff overlooking the strait. As you crest the last hill, the iconic Torre di Longonsardo—an 18th-century Spanish watchtower—comes into view, silhouetted against the horizon. Disembark into a charming grid of whitewashed streets, where the main square buzzes with locals sipping espresso and the air carries hints of fresh focaccia from nearby bakeries. We’ll ride back to Palau, 32 miles total.

This bike trip combines sport and pleasure in the most pleasant way. You will explore the fantastically beautiful north of Sardinia in five bike tours of 21 to 35 Miles. Always guided by our expert guide, you will cycle along picturesque bays and picture-perfect beaches, through the lovely hinterland and to the rugged granite rocks of the Sardinian mountains. Panoramic views, refreshing breaks and the incomparable taste of the dolce vita are guaranteed!

You will gain insights into olive oil and cheese production, taste local wine and beer visit the island where the national hero Giuseppe Garibaldi lived.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 13
PALAU TO The Island of Maddalena

From Palau port we will take the ferry out ro the islands of La maddalena. La Maddalena Island is a remarkable gem located just north of Sardinia, forming the heart of the La Maddalena Archipelago — a protected national park renowned for its pristine waters, striking granite formations, and untouched Mediterranean beauty.

Although small, the island has a distinct culture shaped by centuries of maritime life, Sardinian traditions, and influences from Corsica and mainland Italy. Its history is rich with naval significance: La Maddalena once hosted major Italian and NATO naval bases, and its strategic position has drawn explorers, admirals, and even kings over the centuries.

Just across a narrow channel lies Caprera, another island in the archipelago and the final home of Giuseppe Garibaldi, the legendary patriot and national hero who played a central role in unifying Italy in the 19th century. His house, farm, and tomb are preserved as a museum, making Caprera a place of national pilgrimage and historical importance. Back to Palau hotel, 36 miles total.

Thursday, MAY 14
ARChIPELAGO VISIT BY PRIVATE BOAT

The Archipelago of La Maddalena: An Extraordinary Mediterranean Sanctuary. The La Maddalena Archipelago is a group of seven main islands and dozens of smaller islets located just off the northern coast of Sardinia, between the Strait of Bonifacio and southern Corsica. It is world-renowned for its emerald waters, granite landscapes, pristine beaches, and rare biodiversity.

In 1994, the entire archipelago was designated a National Park — the first in Sardinia — to protect its unique ecosystems, geology, and cultural heritage. The archipelago includes seven principal islands, each with its own personality:

La Maddalena The largest and only island with a true town. It blends naval history, charming streets, small piazzas, and access to some of the archipelago’s best beaches.

Caprera Famous as the home of Giuseppe Garibaldi, the father of Italian unification. Caprera is wild, protected, and crossed by scenic trails and coves accessible only by foot. Garibaldi’s “Casa Bianca” is now a national museum.

Santo Stefano Historically important for military installations. It hosted NATO and U.S. naval bases for decades due to its strategic location. Spargi Uninhabited and pristine. Known for Cala Corsara, one of the most photographed beaches in Sardinia. Budelli Home to the legendary Spiaggia Rosa (Pink Beach), whose sand contains microscopic coral and shell fragments. To protect it, access is highly restricted. Santa Maria Quiet, rural, and peaceful — ideal for snorkeling and calm beach days. Razzoli Wind-shaped and rugged, with dramatic cliffs facing Corsica. A paradise for photographers and hikers.

friday, MAY 15 from Olbia back to milan - como

We will fly back in the morning to Malpensa and Lake Como for an afternoon ride on Lake Como. A bike ride around Lake Como is one of the most spectacular—and memorable—cycling experiences in Italy. It combines dramatic scenery, charming lakeside towns, and iconic climbs known from the Giro d’Italia. Here’s what it’s like:

Cycling around Lake Como is beautiful, varied, and energizing. The lake is shaped like an upside-down Y, and the roads trace its edges, offering constant views of water, villas, mountains, and villages. The atmosphere is pure Italian elegance: cobblestones, cafés, old churches, and ferries gliding by. Most riders describe it as scenic, safe, varied in terrain, physically rewarding, and off course unforgettable
